Ingredients
⅓ cup vegetable oil
3 slices bacon, cut into thirds
1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
1 head cabbage, cored and sliced
1 white onion, chopped
1 pinch white sugar

Directions
STEP 1: Gather all ingredients.
STEP 2: Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat; add bacon and season with salt and pepper. Cook until bacon is crisp, 5 to 7 minutes.
STEP 3: Add cabbage, onion, and sugar; cook and stir continuously until cabbage and onion are tender, about 5 to 10 minutes.
STEP 4: Serve and enjoy!
